The power of fiber lasers can be increased through module stacking and beam combination, during which the overall volume of the lasers is also increasing. In 2017, a 6kW fiber laser composed of multiple 2kW modules was introduced into the industrial market. At that time, 20kW lasers were all based on combining the 2kW or 3kW. This led to bulky products. After several years of effort, a 12kW single-module laser comes out.
