The air-cooled low-temperature chiller, as a highly favored refrigeration equipment, is widely used and well-received in many fields. So, how does the air-cooled low-temperature chiller work? Let's delve into the working principle of the air-cooled low-temperature water chiller:

The air-cooled low-temperature chiller utilizes a compression refrigeration method, which mainly involves refrigerant circulation, cooling principles, and model classification.

Refrigerant Circulation

The refrigerant circulation of the air-cooled low-temperature chiller mainly involves components such as the evaporator, compressor, condenser, and expansion valve. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the water in the evaporator and starts evaporating. The evaporated refrigerant gas is then drawn and compressed by the compressor. The high-temperature, high-pressure gas enters the condenser, where the refrigerant gas releases heat and condenses into a liquid. Finally, the refrigerant, now a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid, passes through the expansion valve and re-enters the evaporator, completing the refrigerant circulation process.

Cooling Principle

The air-cooled low-temperature chiller cools the water to the desired temperature through refrigerant circulation. The refrigerant absorbs the heat from the water and evaporates in the evaporator, which consumes a significant amount of heat and lowers the water temperature. At the same time, the refrigerant gas releases heat in the compressor and condenser, which needs to be dissipated into the environment to maintain the normal circulation of the refrigerant.

Model Classification

The air-cooled low-temperature chiller has various models according to different application needs, such as water-cooled, air-cooled, and parallel units. The water-cooled low-temperature chiller indirectly cools the chilled water using cooling water, while the air-cooled low-temperature chiller reduces the outlet water temperature by using outdoor air to cool the water in condenser coils. Parallel units combine multiple low-temperature chillers to meet higher refrigeration capacity requirements.
