What to Do If a Low Water Flow Alarm Occurs in the Laser Welding Machine Chiller?

Yesterday, our after-sales department received an inquiry from a customer in Singapore. They were experiencing low water flow on their laser welding machine chiller CW-5200, even after refilling it with water. So, what could be the reason behind the low water flow alarm? Let's explore the possible causes of insufficient water flow in the circulating water chillers:

1.Check Whether the Water Is Sufficient and Added to the Proper Range

Check if the water level in the water chiller is above the middle of the green area on the water level indicator. The water chiller CW-5200 is equipped with a water level switch, whose alarm water level is about the middle of the green area. The recommended water level is on the upper green area. 

2.Air or Water Leakage in the Water Circulation System

Insufficient water flow can be caused by a water shortage or the presence of air in the water chiller system. To resolve this, install an air vent valve at the highest point of the water chiller's pipeline for air venting. 

Set the water chiller to self-circulation mode, connect the inlet and outlet pipes with a short hose, fill the water chiller with water up to the highest water level, and then check for any internal or external water leakage issues.

3.Blockage in the External Circulation Part of the Water Chiller

Check if the pipeline filter is clogged or if it has a filter with limited water permeability. Use a suitable water chiller filter and regularly clean the filter mesh.

4.Sensor Malfunction and Water Pump Malfunction
