IPG was created by Doctor Valentin P. Gapontsev who is a physicist in 1991. Its German factory was founded in 1994 and the headquarter was founded in 1998 in the United States. For the time being, IPG has its own factories in the United States, Germany, Russia and Italy and branch offices in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, India, Turkey, Singapore, Spain, Poland, Czech, Canada and UK.
