What are the necessary checks before turning on the laser cutting machine?

When using the laser cutting machine, regular maintenance testing as well as every-time check is needed so that problems can be found and solved promptly to avoid the chances of machine failure during the operation, and to confirm whether the equipment works stably. So what is the necessary work before the laser cutting machine is turned on? There are 4 main points: (1)Check the whole lathe bed; (2)Check the cleanliness of the lens; (3)Coaxial debugging of the laser cutting machine; (4)Check the laser cutting machine chiller status.

When using the laser cutting machine, regular maintenance testing as well as every-time check is needed so that problems can be found and solved promptly to avoid the chances of machine failure during the operation, and to confirm whether the equipment works stably. So what is the necessary work before the laser cutting machine is turned on?

 

1. Check the whole lathe bed

Everyday before turning on the machine, check the circuit and the whole machine’s outer cover. Start the main power supply, check whether the power switch, the voltage regulation part and the auxiliary system work normally. Everyday after using the laser cutting machine, turn off the power and clean the lathe bed to avoid dust and residue entering in.

 

2. Check the cleanliness of the lens

Myriawatt cutting head’s lens is crucial to laser cutting machine, and its cleanliness directly affects the processing performance and quality of the laser cutter. If the lens is dirty, it will not only affect the cutting effect, but further cause the burn of cutting head interior and the laser output head. So, pre-checking before cutting can avoid serious losses.

 

3. Coaxial debugging of the laser cutting machine

The coaxiality of the nozzle outlet hole and the laser beam is one of the important factors that affect the cutting quality. If the nozzle is not on the same axis as the laser, slight inconsistencies can affect the cutting surface effect. But the serious one will make the laser hit the nozzle, causing the nozzle heat and burn. Check whether all gas pipe joints are loose and pipe belts are damaged. Tighten or replace them if necessary.

4. Check the laser cutting machine chiller status

Check the overall condition of the laser cutter chiller. You need to promptly deal with situations like dust accumulation, pipe clogging, insufficient cooling water. By removing dust regularly and replacing the circulating water can ensure the normal operation of the laser chiller so as to maintain the proper functioning of the laser head.
